The Sentry Instrument a special variant in the Sentry family, with an ultra-low profile and narrow design optimized for long metallic tools like medical instruments or scissors. At just 1.4 mm (0.05 in) tall and 1.8 mm (0.07 in) wide, the Sentry Instrument maintains an impressive read range of 2.4 m (8 ft).
