Product Reviews

  1. Simple to setup, easy software

    Posted by

I had a USB Plus unit (older model) previously but it was inconsistent with its reads. I wasn't sure if upgrading to the Pro would do the job, but the Pro has power to spare and is very reliable. If we turn it all the way up, we can scan whole bags of devices. And, when we turn it down, we can write single units without interference from nearby ones.
Very very easy to set up. The URA software from Jadak is straightforward but has helpful options for tuning the antenna performance (like how many units you want to read at a time) and customizing data formats etc. It meets our needs without any custom coding, which everyone else I contacted assured me I've have to pony up several thousand dollars for.
I wanted a PC based unit (vs a sled/Bluetooth) so it would be easy to integrate with our existing labeling software and so that we could just use our Motorola barcode reader to scan data into the EPC fields (instead of hand typing). Works like a charm, and reduces a lot of human error see we already use lot control tags in our existing system.
For the price-point, this was hands down a good purchase.

  2. Very good product

Very good range. I had to adjust the settings
using Universal Configuration Assistant to get a
    consistent performance. Not so difficult.

This is an easy to use product, I was surprised it could drive
the external antenna from just USB.
