This is a much better release than the earlier one - better read distance and easier integration with our solutions.

I bought the device to encode chips for RFID Running Events. The device works great, is super durable and portable, and sets up in a snap. The support people were great and I would highly recommend this reader/writer to anyone who may have a need to encode RFID chips or for reading this in a manual setting.

I bought our first Thingmagic USB reader three or four years ago for desktop use in our lab and offices to read and encode inlays and tags for development projects. We now have five of them scattered around our plant for QC use by Production folks. The "Reader Assistant" software has evolved over the past few years to include several very helpful functions for experimentation and QC purposes. I don't know what we would do without it.

We have been using the ThingMagic for 3 years and have had good success with encoding chip tags to be installed on race bibs for our race timing business. We would recommend the ThingMagic.
