T-Shaped UHF RFID Kayak Tag
The label is affixed to the kayak firmly with the tag extending upright above the surface to prevent any transmission interference caused by the watercraft body. Each label contains a UHF inlay with a unique number associated with each participant in the race. The tag can read up to 14 meters away using UHF reader antennas. Time-keeping is automatically collected and participants’ safety is better managed as organizers can know when someone fell behind and might require assistance. In addition, the tag monitors the participants’ location and the exact time at which they crossed the finish line. With compatible applications, the tag allows the audience to monitor the athletes progress live, through the race at specific stages. Intended uses for this product includes: kayak races, canoe marathons, and boat races.
