The Avery Dennison Smartrac AD Belt U9 is a compact, high-performance UHF RFID inlay designed for item-level tagging across retail, apparel, supply chain, industrial, and home essentials applications. Featuring the NXP UCODE 9 RFID chip, 96-bit EPC memory, and a 70 x 14 mm antenna, the AD Belt U9 operates across the global UHF frequency range of 860–960 MHz and complies with ISO 18000-63 and EPC Class 1 Gen 2 standards. Its compact 73 mm form factor delivers reliable RFID performance on challenging materials such as cardboard and plastic, as well as in close-coupling environments, while self-adjusting technology improves read and write sensitivity and encoding speed. Belt tags with the NXP UCODE 9 IC are included on the approved inlay list by the ARC Program at the RFID Lab at Auburn University when used in retail applications, and comply with categories I, L, O, Q, R, W5, W6, and Y2.
