The Xerafy XS Wedge RFID tag features a compact ø 10.30 x 4.60 mm (ø 0.41 x 0.18 in) form factor designed for press-fit embedding directly into metal assets. With an injection-molded case rated at 10,100 psi (70 MPa) compression strength, it withstands the crushing forces, vibrations, and impacts common in oil and gas, construction, and heavy manufacturing.

The XS Wedge delivers up to 1.40 m (4.6 ft) read range when embedded in metal and survives temperatures from -50°C to +220°C (-58°F to +428°F) for 168 hours, with a peak tolerance of 250°C (482°F). Its IP68 waterproof rating, UV resistance, and sea water weatherability make it equally at home on offshore platforms, onshore pipelines, and outdoor construction sites. Up to 752 bits of user memory provides on-chip data storage for asset identification even in remote locations without network access.
