The Vulcan RFID Cinder Label is an NFC (Near Field Communication) tag used for the close range identification of various electronics and apparel. With the Vulcan RFID Cinder, NFC-enabled smartphones can act as the RFID reader. Embedding the Vulcan RFID Cinder in posters, signs, menus, labels, and business cards enables the immediate launch of smartphone applications or social media websites when read by a smartphone. The Vulcan RFID Cinder carries significantly more data than barcodes and QR codes and can be password protected unlike the printed alternatives. The Vulcan RFID Cinder is equipped with the NXP NTAG213 IC, featuring 144 bytes of user memory and a UID mirror that enables the IC's serial number to be mirrored as part of the tag's encoded URL address.
