  1. Good service, but ultimately a disappointing tag...

    I used these in conjunction with a cloth bib made by Champion Systems and unfortunately had very poor read rates. The adhesive backing wasn't quite up to the task and as the day went on I found that many racers lost their tags. Adhesion was especially poor in the rain or as the bibs got wet with sweat.

    First, thank you for your detailed review; this sort of feedback is very valuable to us and other customers. After taking your feedback to the manufacturer, we've been informed that the adhesive doesn't work well with cloth bibs due to the porous nature of cloth, which effectively limits the amount of surface to which the adhesive can bond. In short, these tags will NOT work well on cloth and, if used on cloth, are prone to eventually fall off.

    The manufacturer recommends using these tags on paper or synthetic bibs. Lastly, while the wetness may have exacerbated the issue of the adhesive incompatibility with cloth, wetness should not affect the adhesive when applied to a non-cloth bib.
