The Zebra DS5502-LB Fixed Mount Barcode Scanner for Labs enhances clinical workflows, reduces errors, and improves patient safety. With a tiny footprint, the DS5502-LB fits into small spaces, and an IP54 sealing enables frequent disinfecting wipe downs. The DS5502-LB can read 1D or 2D barcodes, printed or mobile, even on dimly lit screens. The megapixel sensor in the DS5502-LB delivers a 184% increase in resolution when compared to the previous generation Zebra DS457. With Zebra's Blood Bag Parse+, a single barcode scan captures all required data on every blood bag. Zebra's UDI Scan+ automatically parses and formats unique device identification (UDI) on medical device packaging to help fill out fields on applications. The standard quarter-inch camera mount on the bottom of the scanner enable the use of an endless amount of third-party mounting accessories. The DS5502-LB supports both RS232 and USB, enabling the DS5502-LB to stay in use as systems migrate from RS232 to USB.

Note: The DS5502-LB Scanner is unavailable with UHF RFID technology. This scanner reads 1D and 2D barcodes, but does not have UHF capabilities.
