Description
Impinj RS1000 RAIN RFID Reader Module
The Impinj RS1000 is a turnkey embedded RAIN RFID reader module based on the market-leading Impinj R2000 reader chip. This reader module requires no external components, is fully tested, and meets regulatory requirements. It comes in a surface mount package designed to work as a SMT (surface mount technology) compatible component in a standard PCB manufacturing process, which eliminates costly mechanical hardware, RF cables, and human assembly that are typically required with embedded readers on the market today. The Impinj RS1000 is ideal for embedded applications requiring vicinity reads of moderate tag populations, enabling a diverse range of connectivity devices such as POS terminals, handheld readers, tablets, smart kiosks, and shelf readers.
NOTE: This product is a reader module – NOT a finished RFID reader – and is meant for OEM and developers to embed into products or to be used in the creation of a new finished reader. If you are interested in an existing finished reader product, check out our line of finished Impinj readers.

Why buy this module?
The Impinj RS1000 is a completely integrated RAIN RFID reader module that can easily be added to an embedded system, requiring only connections to a power source, digital communication with a host, and an antenna. The Impinj RS1000 builds on the Impinj RS500 capabilities with increased read/write performance in the same small package. Existing Impinj RS500 users will be able to quickly offer higher performance with their existing hardware due to Impinj RS1000's drop-in compatibility.
