Honeywell 8690i Wearable UHF RFID Mini Mobile Computer
The Honeywell 8690i Wearable UHF RFID Mini Mobile Computer is a compact mini mobile computer that improves workflow efficiency by combining an RFID reader, barcode scanner, and mobile computer into one device. The customizable user-facing display communicates workflow instructions, while the two-button interface enables users to navigate menus and confirm selections. The 8690i connects directly to the network application through Wi-Fi and the SDK. Merging common applications such as picking, packing, and sorting onto a single device offers improved ergonomics and reduced acquisition and operating cost. The 8690i can read all common supply chain UHF RFID tags and can scan 1D and 2D barcodes from up to 793 mm (31.2 in) away depending on barcode size and quality. Designed to survive 2000 0.5 m (1.6 ft) tumbles and 36 1.5 m (4.9 ft) drops to concrete, the 8690i endures rugged, real-world work environments.
