Readable both indoors and outdoors, the Thor VM3A comes with a resistive or a capacitive touchscreen. The resistive touchscreen registers a touch when the screen is pressed down on and is functional when anything presses on the screen, including a finger, glove, or stylus. The capacitive touchscreen registers a touch when a bare finger or capacitive stylus touches the screen and has support for multi-touch inputs. The resistive touchscreen is intended for harsh, industrial conditions, and the capacitive touchscreen offers a faster, modern user experience in clean environments.
