Evolis YMCKO-K Color Ribbon | For Primacy 2 Card Printers
The Evolis YMCKO-K Color Ribbon is designed for dual-sided color printing, offering photo-quality resolution on the front of the card and black resin printing on the back. With six panels, Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Black, Overlay, and Black, this ribbon uses dye-sublimation and thermal transfer technologies to deliver sharp, bright images and clear text, capable of reproducing up to 16 million colors. The overlay panel includes a protective varnish that extends the lifespan of printed cards up to three years. With a cost advantage of around 35% when color is needed only on the front and black printing on the back, this ribbon provides an economical solution without compromising quality. It is made from PET with specialized coatings and a very low concentration of water-insoluble colorant, and is compatible with PVC or composite cards. Validated by Evolis R&D and Quality departments, it ensures reliable, high-quality results with a diffusion printing temperature above 50°C (122°F) and an overlay thickness of 1.1 microns.
