RFID Inlays: UPM Dogbone, Alien Squiggle & More


Atlas offers an extensive line of RFID Wet Inlays. RFID Wet Inlays are comprised of two parts: an integrated circuit for storing and processing information, and an antenna for receiving and transmitting the signal. They are passive RFID Tags in that they have no internal power supply, and they are described as “wet” due to the adhesive backing. RFID Wet Inlays are best for applications where a low-cost “peel-and-stick” tag is needed. Any RFID Wet Inlay can also be converted into a paper or synthetic face label.

The Alien Technology® ALN-9634 “2x2” is a general purpose RFID inlay, designed for use in baggage tags and larger items, including apparel and pharmaceutical bottles. The Alien Technology ALN-9662 “Short” RFID inlay is a narrower version of its high performance, general purpose Squiggle® sibling.

Typical applications for the Short include, but are not limited to, corrugate cases, pallet placard labels, apparel hang tags, shipping labels, asset management, file folder labels, and application on plastics.
