The RFID Hawk is a new addition to Jamison's RFID Strip product line that offers all-in-one, easily installed wall- and door-mount RFID units. The Hawk uses Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) to collect tag data. It is perfect for tracking tags on assets, personnel, and supply chain materials that require read-points inside smaller openings. The unit includes an RFID reader and four high-gain RFID antennas, and is designed to provide out-of-the-box capabilities to read all GEN2-RFID tags at a distance between several inches up to 8 feet. The Jamison Hawk is currently sold with many of the major brands of RFID readers, including the Motorola FX-7400, the Impinj Revolution, and the recently introduced Thing Magic M-6 and Intermec IF2 Network Readers.
The Jamison RFID Hawk is a small wall mount RFID unit for collecting tag data only, without additional alarms and electronics of the Jamison RFID strip. At 39" long and 12" wide, the Hawk is lightweight and mounts quickly and easily. Simply plug in your Power Over Ethernet Line and you are reading tags with the Hawk's POEthernet technology. You don't need a power source other than the POE cable.
The unit delivers superior read rate performance is perfect for tracking assets or personnel at small indoor openings. The fully-enclosed plug 'n' play unit mounts easily near doorways, storage rooms, hallways, offices, and warehouses to provide RFID tracking capabilities for a variety of applications.
